How to Help Cut Flowers Last Longer
A beautiful arrangement is alive, changing a little every day. A few simple habits help it open gracefully and stay fresh.
Start with clean water
Use a spotless vase and refresh the water every day or two. Bacteria is the quiet enemy of cut flowers.
Trim with intention
Remove an inch from each stem at a diagonal with clean snips. Keep all foliage above the waterline.
Choose a gentle spot
Flowers prefer a cool room away from direct sun, heaters, and ripening fruit. As individual stems fade, remove them so the rest of the arrangement can keep shining.
